Biography: Phil has been writing and performing his original songs since he was 15, and has played with several different bands over the last decade-plus. About 5 years ago he began working full-time with inner-city students, and it is through these experiences that the songs from his latest album, In Time, were written. Influenced by bands such as The Raconteurs, U2 and Switchfoot, as well as authors Henri Nouwen, Shane Claiborne and Philip Yancey, the songs on In Time possess melodic and edgy hooks, while lyrically engaging the universal struggles and joys of life. Phil says, 'I'm passionate about bringing hope to people who struggle to find it and encouragement to those who are tempted to despair, by presenting a message that guides the listener through the messiness of the temporal and toward the beauty of the eternal.' Depending on the dynamic of the event, Phil can either play solo acoustic, or with a full band.
