Brighton Rock

Top-notch British crime drama features Richard Attenborough in a tour-de-force performance as racetrack gang leader Pinkie Brown, who murders a reporter, then marries Rose (Carol Marsh), the waitress who could implicate him. Entertainer Ida Arnold (Hermione Baddeley) is sure of Pinkie's guilt and means to prove it, prompting the hood to try to get Rose to kill herself.
