Description
If you kept your save games you’ll be able to import your character, along with his decisions, into the second game. Side quest characters will have more of an effect on the main story this time. Be wary of what you did in the first game, because someone might just be more apprehensive about helping you later on. Healing your character now regenerates over time.
The voice-actors in this game include big Hollywood names like Martin Sheen (The West Wing), Carrie-Anne Moss (The Matrix series), Tricia Helfer (Battlestar Galactica) and Adam Baldwin (Serenity).
BioWare Montreal’s Mass Effect 2 is more improved, more animated and more visually stunning. Epic battles, struggles with love/s and a larger selection of weapons await you in the sequel to one of the most popular action role-playing games around.

This sequel follows the story line of the first amazingly and with the ability to load your character from ME1 its nice to see your actions determine parts of the story line. Not to mention the awesome graphics, side quests and beautiful music score.

Comments about Mass Effect 2 (PC):
Mass Effect 2 is Bioware's follow up to ME1. It makes some improvements on the original, as well as making some mistakes. Frustrations from the first game, such as the clunky inventory and cover glitching, are fixed. Some of the newer elements added (armors etc.) are not as good as the first game.
Generally speaking, this game will suit people who are looking for a conversation focused RPG with interesting characters and storylines. The graphics and designs are also well done. People who like FPS games may also find something to enjoy.

Comments about Mass Effect 2 (PC):
ME2 is a colossal improvement over its predecessor. Bioware has trimmed down all the fat of the weapon system and vehicle segments and presented us with a highly entertaining game. Where the first had you yearning for a more exciting chapter in the story, this game delivers all the way throughout, which is a testament to the creative team.
The combat elements are more refined, with the ability to launch biotic attacks around corners now and a tenser battlefield. In terms of combat and menu organising, this feels more like a shooter than the first. The level design is more creative this time around; you never feel like you are re-treading old grounds, which keeps things fresh all the way through.
The true meat of ME2 is not it's combat, but rather, the story. Both the first and second games have given us the best of Western-RPG drama, and that is no small feat. The dialogue in this game is the best that I have ever seen, period. It is quite remarkable to think that this space opera can make dialogue and character interactions real. The team you assemble and fight for are more important this time around, as their relationship with Shepard undergoes changes throughout the story. The plot, while not as fulfilling as the first's, is still delivered well. I ended up caring more about my team than the actual plot, strangely enough.
Presentation-wise, this game is top-tier. The graphics are wondrous, with lush backdrops to immerse yourself in. The sound, in combination with a good set of speakers, is very effective, with ambiance and the melody of gunfighting drawing you into the world. The soundtrack is even more satisfying than the first, leaning towards a more dramatic soundscape that the game deserves.
An improvement on the first in almost every aspect, ME2 is Bioware's way of saying thank you. You owe it to yourself to play both games, because it is one of the most enriched gaming experiences you shall have. I, for one, am salivating for ME3.

Comments about Mass Effect 2 (PC):
I never played Mass Effect the original and came to this game after playing Bioware's Dragon Age Origins. And I was able to download the Dragon Armour for my character using the code I received with Dragon Age Origins so that was good.
And despite not have the same amount of team members and having less control over their actions I still enjoyed this emmensely.
Even when I died it wasn't boring or repetative, I simply changed my strategy until I found one that worked and kept a better eye on my comrages.
This game seems to have a lot of scope and plenty of missions to keep you going especially at the PC price on CDWow. Also there is downloadable [Purchasable] content if you need it.
The mining can be a bit boring and too much like grinding but it doesn't take long as most systems only have between 2 and 4 planets and the rewards are there in upgrades etc.
The weapons feel good and the games does count headshots as more damaging than body or limb shots which gives you reason to improve your aim.
Service and delivery comments:
Delivery was very quick and at $20.69 a bargain. In shops here it is still quite expensive. $50+
Game was brand new and still sealed as always.

Comments about Mass Effect 2 (PC):
Mass Effect is clearly becoming one of those RPG series that grows with each title. More than anything else, Mass Effect 2 does that through the incredible character import option. Make sure you play Mass Effect before this sequel, and you'll be able to import a character into a sequel that takes all of your previous actions and applies them to the new game.
This particular installment is so rich in its story-telling and user control that you often find yourself saying things or replaying the game just to see what responses or successes may have been achieved by something so subtle as a pat on the shoulder chosen over a stern word. You truly feel in control of the (very rich) story and will be amazed how much time you spend just running around having conversations with people and watching them react.
As for the gameplay, it goes far beyond an Oblivian or Diablo style mouse bashing combat. Mass Effect 2 uses a variety of powers, combined with a good cover system and almost shooter combat, to make the mission play exciting and challenging.
And finally the game is beautiful. It's not just the variety of planets and scenery, but the expressions on people's faces when you talk to them. A wry smile, or mildly raised eyebrow add so much realism to the game. And to polish that interaction off the voice acting is deep and exceptionally well done.
The biggest con with Mass Effect 2: if you're reading this review then you likely haven't bought it yet. No patch can fix that, it's up to you.
